Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Insurance Plan G
Medicare Part A and Part B coverage may not be enough to cover all of your health care needs. Medicare Supplement Plan G is one of several Medicare Supplement Plans, or Medigap plans, purchased through private insurance companies. A Medicare Supplement Plan may help “fill the gaps” in Part A and Part B coverage.
What does Plan G Cover?
Like other Medicare Supplement plans, Plan G will provide you with a better idea of what additional medical expenses will cost. These include Medicare coinsurance or deductibles.
Below are specific Medigap benefits covered by Plan G that are not covered if you only have Part A and Part B coverage:
Coinsurance for skilled nursing facility care
Medicare Part A deductible
Excess charges for Part B coverage
Foreign travel emergency health care coverage – up to plan limits
