This visit may include:
  • A review of you and your family’s medical history
  • Simple vision test
  • Height, weight and blood pressure measurement
  • Recommendations for other screening tests, shots, etc.
If you have been enrolled in Medicare for awhile, you will get an ANNUAL “Wellness Visit.” formerly called a physical…  The main reason for this visit is to discuss and help prevent any diseases. This visit is only covered in full if scheduled as an annual wellness visit.
This visit may include:
  • Answering questions to help guide the appointment in a helpful direction
  • A review of you and your family’s medical history
  • Height, weight and blood pressure measurement
  • Updating and/or making a list of your medications and doctors you have seen
  • Testing/discussing any troubles remembering or thinking clearly
  • Discussion of recommendations for other screenings, tests, shots, etc.
These appointments are made and available to you in order to help keep you healthy. I recommend preparing for these appointments with any questions or concerns you may have in order to make the most of the visit.
Research in Oregon shows that not enough seniors are taking advantage of these newly gained benefits.  Most don’t even know they exist.  we encourage you to take control of your health with your annual wellness visits.
